Are You Next?
People need to be more aware of Electricity and how it shouldn’t be wasted or one day it really will come back to haunt us like in Allie,Kyra, Chastity and my video. Electricity is not endless and we are wasting way too much and when we need it most it will be gone. You don’t need to do much to preserve energy. You can just turn off the lights when you leave the room and if you are done with a computer or TV just turn it off. Can you think of any other ways to save electricity?
Our genres of horror and comedy were a funny combination but it was FUN to make. We put a treat at the end at the end of our credits that you might like, me and my friends sure do! Hope you enjoy!
Are They Really Canuck Fans?
The Boston Bruins recently won the Stanley cup and even though I am a Canucks fan I will admit that they deserved it. I won’t be a poor sport and say “Well we didn’t have all our players or they were using a different technique” because they did have a good technique and it isn’t their fault they used it. What made me happy and proud was even though the Canucks lost their fans in the arena were amazing. They cheered for the Boston Bruins and weren’t being sore losers. They were respectful and it proved they still believed in the Canucks. The riot in Vancouver on the other hand was the opposite. They were saying they ’are Canuck fans’ but would fans really destroy buildings, cars and harm the opposing team’s fans? I wouldn’t because it just means you don’t believe the Canucks can rise again and maybe even win next years Stanley cup. Would you harm the opposite team or their fans because they won? If so have you ever thought of what it would be like if it were the opposite?
Yesterday my class was watching some videos about the riots and there were 140 people that had checked into the hospital and only 4 people that remain there. It was also confirmed that most of these people in the hospital were high or had been drinking. I really wonder if they really are Canucks fans or they were just looking for an excuse to break things and hurt police or people. The damage was phenomenal. One of the stores said that it would take around $1 million to fix all the damages and the windows that the rioters smashed were around $1000-$2000 each. Most people are blaming the police and how they didn’t do much, but really how could police stop thousands and thousands of people? They’re certainly out numbered by A LOT.
The clean up is not going to be an easy task for them. They were lighting cars on fire, throwing things around and smashing windows like it wasn’t a big deal. Some Vancouverites were not pleased with the rioters idea and decided to help. These people are considerate, kind, caring and great citizens for volunteering their time to clean up what others had done. I find that really helpful and amazing that they are doing this. People helped clean up the city because they didn’t want what a bunch of idiots have done to ruin your perspective of who true Canuck fans are. On another note please don’t group Real Canuck fans with people who are making trouble/destroying the city together because they don’t deserve to be judged for something they didn’t do. Would you want someone’s opinion of you to be based on what others have done? I sure wouldn’t want that.
To the people helping to clean up … Thank you.

What needs to happen?
We create too much waste and the Earth can’t handle it. At least 1/3 of the garbage in a landfill can be recycled. Many people really don’t think about who is suffering from our littering, like animals. If garbage were to go into the oceans, fish could think it’s food and eat it. Humans later on eat fish and they could eventually become sick from what the fish ate. Would you eat plastic even if you knew you could change it? When we throw things on the ground, birds could also think it’s food and eat it. Think of how many animals eat fish and birds. Also many years later on in life our grandchildren will be living with all that we have left for them. I would like them to be able to see lots of animals, live in a clean environment and not become sick because of what they have ate. Would you? I hope you will enjoy my comic!
Books into Videos
This video is a book trailer about Disappearing Inc. Disappearing Inc. is a very funny, interesting and adventurous book. Even if the book is fiction, the way the characters act and think make them seem like they are real. I really recommend this book if you are looking for something different but at the same time amazing to read. If you would like to learn more about it you should definitely watch the trailer. Thanks for coming too my blog!
Tags and Categories
I think categories and tags are important to have because when someone visits your blog or page they could look at them and see if you have talked or blogged about something they enjoy reading about. They could easily find something if you use tags and categories correctly. They are also really good to use when you need to keep track of your writing and you want to be able to find posts quickly. I’m really unorganised and I can’t remember where I put things so filing things into categories would be a good thing for me. I put this post in my Blogging Challenges category but I also created a What’s Coming Soon category because I usually write about something that’s coming up or is already here. Hopefully these 2 categories will make it easier for people to find my posts. What would you use them for and if you already have them how do you use them? Do you find them helpful?
Go to the Student Blogging Challenge 4 for more more information on categories and tags. Thanks for coming to my blog!

Earth Hour
Last week my family and I participated in Earth Hour. If you don’t know what this is it’s just a day where you turn off all your electricity for an hour. In the 1970′s we only used 70% of natures energy and in 1999 it turned in to 125%. We’ve used so much energy that wasn’t really needed but wanted instead. This day was to remember that we shouldn’t waste it because when the time comes and we need it the most, it will be gone.
It was really fun for me because my siblings and I played hide and go seek in the dark. Although I tripped a lot while we were playing it was tons of fun. It was interesting to use candles and flashlights but it was hard to look for things with them. This year Earth Hour was on Spring Break. I hope next year it will be on a school day because that would be quite interesting to do.
Did you participate in Earth Hour? If you did what did you use? Candles, flashlights or both? Did you do anything fun while the electricity was gone? Have you participated in anything else globally? If you want to learn about more global challenges go check out student blogging challenge 3. Thanks for coming to my blog!

Footprints in the digital world
In the last few weeks, I’ve learned about footprints. No not the ones when you step on something and there’s and imprint of your foot. It’s about how you leave foot prints digitally. I have quite a list of sites that I have registered for and put some personal information on. Those would be:
- Msn
- Hotmail
- Edublog
- Piknik
- Skype
- Glogster
- Twiducate
- Gmail
- And many more.
I’ve registered for a lot more except I can’t fully remember all of them but I know they were mostly games when I was younger. When I searched my name on Google and included my town, I didn’t find anything that had to do with me. I guess because my name is common so it would be hard to find with all the search results. I also searched up my friends Lexi and Allie and I could not find them anywhere either. Even though I didn’t find too much about myself on Google, I’m going to stop putting up too much information and minimize my registrations so my foot print will hopefully get smaller and smaller. Will have to wait and see because the more I’m on sites the more the my footprint grows and I like to go online a lot.
How many sites have you signed up for? If you searched your full name did you find anything about or to do with you? When you search up your friends did you find anything about them? What are you going to do to prevent a BIG foot print?
If you go to Student blogging challenge 2 you will find out more about digital foot prints!

What am I excited about?
I’m really looking forward too spring break. I can’t wait until I get to sleep in and not doing school work. What are you looking forward too when spring break arrives? Even though it’s only for a week or two it’s really helpful to have a break and relax for a while. I think spring break is another way of telling us the the sun is coming and we need to be ready when it decides to shine as brightly as it can. I’m more than ready and happy to have the suns warmth on me. What do you like more winter or summer? I prefer summer more because it’s warm and it is the perfect weather for swimming but just because I like it doesn’t mean other people don’t have a different point of view. I also think spring it telling us that the flowers and plants as stubs are going to be blooming into really beautiful ones. I think flowers are really pretty and it’s interesting to watch them as they slowly gets bigger. Have you watched them grow day by day? Another thing is, Is it just me thinking this or does each any every flower have it’s own characteristic not necessarily inside but outside too just like us humans? Thanks for reading my post come back soon! <( ’.’ <)

It’s here!
The student blogging challenge is coming real soon and I’m really excited. I’ve registered and so have many of my classmates and friends. Are you or anyone you know going to? If you haven’t and your thinking about joining the student blogging challenge I recommend it. I think that it’s a great way to interact with people your age around the world and read or learn new things about them or where they live. It’s also very useful if you are looking for a type of blog like something to do with sports or maybe even video games. I hope I’ll get to meet people from all around the world who like the things I do. It’s not hard all you have to do is look through the list of other students who have already signed up and write down your interest or hobbies and the people who have similar hobbies will pop up and you can go straight to their blog. I put volleyball and basketball as my interests. What’s yours?
I haven’t searched for people yet but I am going to really soon. Each week for 10 weeks there is going to be a challenge for you to do. I really hope they aren’t going to be hard but who knows what they could be about. If I finish most or all of the challenges I’ll be ecstatic and excited. If you joined the blogging challenge hope you get great outcomes too! If you don’t already have a post on your blog you can go check out my first post.
